Brutal

BRUTAL follows the story of Trevor (played by Morgan Benoit), who was kidnapped from his backyard at the age of fifteen by an invisible alien force. For nearly twenty years, he has been compelled to engage in relentless battles against other captives in a bizarre mixed martial arts arena. Over time, Trevor transforms from a naive teenager into a fierce combatant. Derek (portrayed by Jeff Hatch), a lawyer known for chasing ambulances, becomes the newest captive forced to fight Trevor. As their confrontations intensify over weeks and months, the harshness of their reality and the essence of their humanity gradually come to light. Drawing inspiration from THE TWILIGHT ZONE and THE PRISONER, BRUTAL delves into the themes of human violence and our inclination to inflict unimaginable harm on one another through the lenses of science fiction, allegory, and psychological drama. Despite the savagery, the film also highlights our ability to love, even in the direst situations.
