Chaplin of the Mountains

A young Kurdish-French woman, recently left without parents, embarks on a journey to Iraqi Kurdistan to locate her mother’s village, which was probably obliterated during the Anfal genocide. Along the way, she encounters two American film students who are visiting isolated villages to show Charlie Chaplin movies. They choose to assist her in her quest, leading them to the conflict-ridden Mount Qandil, known by the locals as the Kurdish Bermuda Triangle, situated at the intersection of the Iraqi, Turkish, and Iranian borders.
