Bari, a city grappling with an ongoing economic downturn, serves as the backdrop for this story. Ivo, an agronomist, finds himself compelled to take a job in the lush Banat region of Romania due to the scarcity of opportunities at home. Meanwhile, Clara, fresh from a breakup, faces the imminent loss of her job at the Bari port. A chance encounter brings Ivo and Clara together, and they quickly form a deep understanding of one another. Although they share just a single night before Ivo leaves, it forges a connection that makes them eager to reunite. When Clara travels to Romania to see him, they fall in love.
