Double Play

“Double Play” follows the journey of Ostrik, an aging man who comes back to Curaçao, revisiting the place of his youth after spending many years away. As he reflects on the year 1973, he recalls a pivotal game his father participated in, which significantly impacted his formative years. Set against the vibrant scenery and stark poverty of Curaçao, the film features characters that embody the island’s diverse cultural tapestry. It weaves a narrative rich with themes of pride and disgrace, financial struggles and romance, as well as dreams and aspirations.
