The Changeover

Laura Chant, a 16-year-old, resides with her mother and her little brother Jacko, who is four, in a struggling new neighborhood on the outskirts of a partially destroyed Christchurch, New Zealand. She finds herself entangled in a mystical conflict with an age-old spirit that targets Jacko, gradually sapping his life force as the spirit rejuvenates. In the process, Laura uncovers her real identity and latent supernatural powers, which she must learn to wield in order to rescue her brother.
