Years after the passing of his wife Kate, Ned Stevens remains uncomfortable with the idea of seeing other women. He questions the need to date again, especially since he is focused on caring for his daughter, Liz. However, when Liz returns home from college, she brings an unexpected guest who unsettles Ned.
