Building on the success of “P.O.E.: Poetry of Eerie,” several filmmakers from the original project have reunited for a new venture that seeks to animate the stories of Edgar Allan Poe through the unique perspective of Italian horror, with dialogue in English. While the first film emphasized the poetic and darkly atmospheric aspects of the famed Boston writer, this sequel shifts its focus to the gory, violent, and unsettling.
