Ten Pound Poms

In 1956, a collection of British individuals departs from the gloomy, post-war environment of Britain to undertake a transformative journey to the opposite side of the globe. Enticed by the promise of an improved lifestyle by the ocean in the sun-drenched land of Australia for just ten pounds, they soon discover that life in this new setting is not as perfect as they had imagined. As they grapple with their new immigrant status, we witness their successes and challenges as they adjust to a fresh existence in a foreign land, far removed from the comforts of Britain.
