Similar to many families who move into The Gates, the Monahans have left behind a complex life in Chicago. This new place has an eerie, almost ghostly quality. As Nick Monahan takes on his role as the new police chief of The Gates, he finds himself ensnared in a web of mystery. He starts to uncover the unsettling reality of their new residence, along with the supernatural forces that hide in the shadows of The Gates.
