Jack McKee is a highly successful and wealthy doctor who seems to have everything going for him, until his life takes a turn when he is diagnosed with throat cancer. Experiencing the medical world from the viewpoint of a patient, he comes to understand that the role of a doctor extends beyond just performing surgeries and writing prescriptions.
