Jake’s Corner

In this narrative, we follow Johnny Dunn, a former football star who retreats from the limelight following a family tragedy, settling in a small desert town he owns, named Jake’s Corner. This film blends elements of drama and comedy, reminiscent of “Kramer vs. Kramer” and “Northern Exposure.” Set in the actual town of Jake’s Corner, Arizona, it serves as a pit stop for travelers journeying through the Arizona desert. However, for its residents, it’s a pause in the journey of life. Johnny, along with a quirky group of locals, resides in trailers behind the Corner Store and Jake’s Corner Bar. Over time, these misfits have formed bonds stronger than most families, becoming like kin. The town’s dynamic shifts dramatically when Johnny’s young nephew comes to live with him.
