Mari McCabe, originally hailing from Africa, lost her parents to the rampant greed, corruption, and violence in her homeland. Despite being orphaned, Mari is determined not to be overwhelmed by the horrors around her.

With the Tantu Totem passed down from her family, Mari gains the ability to harness the powers of animals, ranging from the immense strength of a gorilla to the swift speed of a cheetah. As the superhero Vixen, she courageously battles to defend the world from the same kind of dangers that took her family away.
