The Secret Agent

In 1886 London, Verloc, a Soho shopkeeper, secretly serves as a spy for the Russian government, unbeknownst to his devoted wife, Winnie. Frustrated by Britain’s tolerance of radical anarchists, the Russians pressure Verloc to detonate a bomb, aiming to incite a government crackdown on these extremists. Trapped between the demands of the Russians and the scrutiny of the British police, Verloc unwillingly involves his own family in a devastating act of terror.
