The New Normal

“The New Normal” was a sitcom broadcast on NBC between September 10, 2012, and April 2, 2013. The show was the brainchild of Ryan Murphy and Ali Adler, who also served as its main writers. The plot centers around Bryan and David, a prosperous gay couple residing in Los Angeles. Eager to start a family, they opt for surrogacy and select Goldie Clemmons as their surrogate. Goldie, along with her nine-year-old daughter Shania, moves into the couple’s home.
