Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth

Set in the era of the Silla dynasty, the story follows Sam Maekjong, the offspring of the deceased king and the current queen regent, Jiso. Since his father’s assassination, Sam Maekjong has been hidden away for his safety. Over time, influential nobles have repeatedly attempted to seize power from Jiso, making her increasingly cautious and hesitant to relinquish the throne. As her son reaches maturity, she establishes the Hwarang, a prestigious group of young men trained in combat and scholarship. This group disrupts the existing power dynamics, and Sam Maekjong, using the alias Kim Ji-Dwi, is secretly among them, unknown to his fellow Hwarang members.
