Kako: My Sullen Past

Kako, a high school girl played by Fumi Nikaido, resides with her family at their restaurant in Kitashinagawa, Tokyo. Out of the blue, her aunt Mikiko, portrayed by Kyoko Koizumi, shows up, despite Kako believing she had passed away 18 years earlier. Mikiko’s unexpected arrival stirs embarrassment within the family because of an incident from the past that she was involved in. Kako finds herself annoyed as Mikiko takes up residence in her room, and they end up spending the summer months together.
