Lexx
Lexx is a science fantasy TV series that chronicles the escapades of a diverse group of characters aboard the living spaceship, Lexx. Their journey takes them across two universes, where they visit various planets, including a satirical version of Earth.
This series is a collaborative effort between Canada and Germany, with extra financial support from Britain’s Channel 5. The Sci Fi Channel acquired the series from Salter Street Films and started broadcasting edited episodes of Season 2 for American viewers in January 2000.
Salter Street Films, which later became part of Alliance Atlantis, co-produced Lexx. In Canada, the series was shown on Showcase, a network owned by Alliance Atlantis.
The primary filming locations for the series were Halifax and Berlin, with additional scenes shot in Iceland, Bangkok, and Namibia.
