Honeybunnies
Maarit Lalli’s film explores the dynamic between a woman who embraces saying “yes” and a man who struggles to say “no.” Ricky Kalin, portrayed by Antti Luusuaniemi, is a real estate agent with a penchant for women. Meanwhile, Pihla Viitala’s character, Annika Lahti, is a private investigator, albeit not a particularly skilled one. Annika has a knack for uncovering intricate relationships, to put it diplomatically. Ricky excels in sales and maintains two separate schedules: one for work and another for his romantic pursuits. Their paths cross when Annika takes on a case involving the real estate agent. She is straightforward about her intentions, seeking a no-strings-attached physical relationship, which suits Ricky perfectly. Their arrangement is based on mutual cooperation and assistance, but things take a turn when it becomes a recurring pattern for the sixth time. “It’s something we can’t help but watch, even if we don’t necessarily love it.”
