The 10th Kingdom

“The 10th Kingdom” is an American fantasy miniseries with a fairytale theme, crafted by Simon Moore. It was a collaborative production involving Britain’s Carnival Films, Germany’s Babelsberg Film und Fernsehen, and the USA’s Hallmark Entertainment. The story follows a young woman and her father who are whisked away from Manhattan, New York, into a parallel universe filled with fairy tales, magical creatures, wicked stepmothers, and journeys of self-discovery, all through a mystical mirror.

This miniseries was first aired on NBC over five consecutive nights, with each episode lasting two hours, starting on February 27, 2000. While it received positive critical acclaim, it struggled with low viewership ratings. Nonetheless, it was honored with an Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Design in 2000.
