12 Angry Men
During the trial of a man charged with murdering his father, a solitary juror challenges the guilty verdict reached by the others, who are influenced by their biases and preconceived notions. This film is an adaptation by Reginald Rose, based on his 1957 movie directed by Sidney Lumet, as well as the earlier Westinghouse One television production. George C. Scott received a Golden Globe for his supporting role, while Jack Lemmon, who played the principled juror, did not win the Best Actor award. However, Ving Rhames, who won for his role in “Don King,” dedicated his award to Lemmon.
